In February, Competere’s work garnered substantial media attention across newswires, newspaper articles, and online outlets.

Two subjects have been particularly relevant: the 9th Italian national week against food waste (February 5th) and the protests against the proposal by the Nutriscore’s designer of black-labelling alcholic beverages. Competere addressed both issues, participating in debates among relevant and strategic stakeholders.

The coverage has especially contributed to enhancing the debate surrounding the European labelling system, boosting the efforts of other national actors (notably Federvini, which has mentioned Competere’s press release), both in Italy and abroad, while calling for a systemic stakeholder engagement in Italy.
